We had beans, salad, and guacamol for dinner. Also, we had tortillas of course. Here in El Salvador, guacamole is made with different ingredents than in U. S., with the exception of the avocados. We added:
hard boiled eggs, sliced.
onion, finely chopped
hard cheese (queso duro) shredded. In the US, you can use fresh cheese that crumbles.
salt
lime juice
All this gets added to the coarsely cut up avocados and then mixed together.
Those beans look nothing like the ones I make, why? what's the difference? they are the same type of beans, so why do mine look different?
ReplyDeleteWhat's on the salad with the tomato in the picture? which kind of dressing? did u make it ur self?
ReplyDeleteWell, the beans are "amelcochados" which means you cook them when they still have soup until the soup caramelizes them, usually the third or fourth time you cook them.
ReplyDeleteWill made the salad. It has shredded lettuce and carrots, and sliced tomatoes. The dressing is pepinesa.
ReplyDeleteCan we have that guacamol for my BDay? Please?
ReplyDeleteYou got it, birthday girl!
